With the KlimaKomfort system, SÜDWEST offers applications and end customers a complete solution in which all components work together perfectly. Special cleaning agents create the basis for a safe renovation. This is followed by a mineral adhesive, suitable priming coats, the innovative perlite board and wedges to close thermal bridges. The system is rounded off with high-quality fillers, plasters and diffusion-open colour shades.

Ecologically harmless
The SÜDWEST KlimaKomfort mould remediation system completely dispenses with biocides in mould prevention. The KlimaKomfort perlite panel is made of natural volcanic rock, which is 100% ecologically harmless. This is a strong argument in favour of healthy living and safety, especially indoors.
The perlite panel as the centrepiece
The mineral volcanic rock perlite can absorb large amounts of moisture (up to 13.7 litres per square metre), store it and slowly release it again. In this way, the panel regulates the indoor climate, increases the surface temperature and permanently prevents mould from growing.

No. In the case of permanently damp walls, the cause must first be rectified - e.g. leaks, rising damp or structural damage. The KlimaKomfort system was specially developed for the renovation of dry, prepared substrates and then ensures a balanced indoor climate and long-term mould protection.
After professional drying, it is ideal for preventing mould from forming again in the long term.
How does the KlimaKomfort system differ from conventional mould sprays or paint coats?
Mould sprays or paint coats usually only remove the visible traces - the KlimaKomfort system tackles the cause. Active moisture regulation permanently prevents mould instead of just covering it.
How long does the mould protection last?
The protection is permanent, as the system works physically on the building component and removes the livelihood of mould - without any subsequent treatment or chemical renewal.
For subsequent paint coats, a diffusion-open silicate-based interior paint should be used.
Can the KlimaKomfort system also be used in rented flats?
Yes, it is also suitable for partial refurbishments in rented flats and can be installed specifically on affected wall areas - without the need for costly conversions.
Does the KlimaKomfort system also make sense from an energy point of view?
Yes, increasing the surface temperature of the walls improves the sensation of warmth. The rooms feel warm more quickly and energy losses are reduced.
How is the KlimaKomfort system constructed?
The system consists of precisely harmonised components. These include cleaning agents, mineral adhesives, priming coats, perlite climate boards, wedges to prevent thermal bridges, fillers, plasters and diffusion-open colour shades.
Which substrates are suitable for the application?
The KlimaKomfort system can be used on mineral plasters, concrete, masonry, sand-lime brick or comparable substrates with load-bearing capacity. A firm, clean and dry surface is important. Please observe the information in the technical data sheets for the products.
Does the substrate need to be pre-treated?
Yes, the substrates must be sound, dry and free from mould. Special SÜDWEST cleaning agents and priming coats for highly absorbent substrates are available to optimally complement the system. What tools are required for the application?
The application is carried out with standard tools such as a notched trowel, smoothing trowel and cutting tool. No special machines or additional equipment are required.
