Our product manager Dr Klaus Müller explains why doing without isocyanates is so important. In an interview with Malerblatt magazine, SÜDWEST’s product manager for paints explains what the issues surrounding diisocyanantes are. This ingredient is often found in the hardeners of commercially available two-component paints and has been proven to cause asthma. That’s why safety equipment has to be worn when it is applied. Dr Müller wanted to tackle the problem and develop a product that did not contain any ingredients that would be harmful to health, yet that would not compromise on quality. This process resulted in the new SÜDWEST AquaVision® 2K-Seidenmattlack, which satisfies our high requirements.
